Deblocking Filter: The user can either enable or disable the deblocking filter. The deblocking
filter can also be disabled across slices. Should the de-blocking filter be disabled, macro-
blocking is likely to affect picture quality. A deblocking filter is a video filter applied to blocks in
decoded video to improve visual quality and prediction performance by smoothing the sharp
edges which can form between macroblocks when block coding techniques are used. The filter
aims to improve the appearance of decoded pictures.
Latency Mode: Three latency modes can be selected, namely normal, medium or low.

ENCODER – AUDIO 1 TO 8
9780SLKE2-H264HD can carry 4 groups of audio so correspondingly there are 8 Audio Tabs on the
Encoding Page. These can used to configure the Audio compression parameters. On Audio 1 page
select Profile 1 from the drop down menu and click the button Update Profile

The Encoding-Audio tabs allow the following audio parameters to be set:
Module Type: The Module Type drop down menu enables the user to set the type of audio
processing for the selected audio input. Select an audio type from the Module Type drop down
menu and click on Save in Profile. The parameters, which apply to the selected module type,
will be displayed.
The following is a list of available module types:
None: Selecting this option enables audio to be straight passed through.
