6.
FIRMWARE UPGRADE PROCEDURE
6.1.
OVERVIEW
The firmware in the 9780SLKE is contained on a FLASH EPROM. From time to time firmware updates
will be provided to add additional features to the unit. The firmware update can be initiated using the
web interface.
You will need the following equipment in order to update the Firmware:
•
PC where the web interface that controls the encoder has been opened following the steps
specified in section 6.2.
•
New firmware supplied by Evertz.
6.2.
INVOKE UPLOAD MODE VIA THE WEB INTERFACE
1.
Select the System tab on the web interface.
2.
Click on Choose File at the bottom of the System tab next to Upgrade and select the
appropriate firmware on your PC.
3.
Select Upgrade. The encoder will take approximately 10 seconds to come back online.
