A router provides a defined path from one host or network to a destination host or network. This type of route is
manually entered as a fixed path, as contrasted to a dynamic route which is automatically determined and learned
(e.g., RIP). If the next gateway for network traffic is unknown, a router will be its default path. Adding a system
default gateway creates a default router entry in the Router table.
