To create a new Subnet, click on Create New Subnet under Add New Interface
(Figure 6-45 on page

Enter the following parameters for this subnet:
– Subnet Value – Enter the subnet value provided by the service provider for this session.
– Subnet Mask – Enter the subnet mask provided by the service provider for this session. Or if DHCP
Client was selected, the subnet mask will automatically be assigned by a DHCP server on the WAN
side of the network.
– Get Subnet from IP Interface – Values are interface names. Default is None.
– Maximum Lease Time – Maximum Lease Time value is 86400 seconds. The maximum amount of
time (in seconds) that a device on the LAN can be bound to the IP Address it was served before the
lease expires. Default is 86400.
– Default Lease Time – Default Lease Time value is 43200 seconds. The maximum amount of time
(in seconds) that a device on the LAN can be bound to the IP Address it was served before the lease
expires. Default is 43200.
