ECM off

Transmission can be made with ECM disabled. Error Correction Mode (ECM) is a mode of trans-
mission with error correction established by ITU-T (International Telecommunications Union).
FAX machines provided with the ECM feature can communicate with each other and can confirm
that the data sent is free from errors. Thus, communication can be made free from disturbances
due to line noises, etc. The FK-102 employs ECM for transmission unless you disable it.
>>> Specifications for ECM off <<<
• If there are much line noises, the communication time may be a little bit longer with ECM
enabled than with ECM disabled.
• ECM will be resumed automatically on completion of transmission.
