Background Contamination

There is toner contamination on all or most
of the page. The contamination appears as a
very light gray dusting. The printer displays
no error code. Before using this procedure,
Ensure the TekColor correction is not set to
"None" in the printer's dialog box. Ensure
the customer is making less than 2,000
prints per day. Making more than 2,000
prints a day exceeds the duty cycle
specifications for the printer.
Note
Depending on the type of paper and environmental conditions, some light
amount of random background spotting (backgrounding) is normal. The
whiter and glossier the paper, the more noticeable it will be.
