13.3.2

D8128D OctoPOPIT Eight-point Expander

The control panel supports the D8128D through the use of the B600.
The B600 supports up to 30 (thirty) D8128D modules. The B9512G supports up to 15 D8128D
modules connected to the B600 ZX1 terminals and up to 15 D8128D modules connected to
the B600 ZX2 terminals. The B8512G supports up to 12 D8128D modules connected to the
B600 ZX1 terminals (for the 12

Ensure that there is enough power for the module and other powered devices you want
connected to the system.

result in personal injury and/or equipment damage.
The D8128D OctoPOPIT Module combines the functions of the D8125 POPEX Module and the
D9127 POPIT Modules to provide eight off-board points in a single module. You can wire both
D8128D OctoPOPIT and D8125 POPEX Modules in parallel to the B600 ZONEX module
terminals.
The B9512G supports up to thirty modules through the B600.
The B8512G supports up to twelve modules through the B600.
Requirements for Fire Initiation applications
You can connect the D125B Dual Powered Loop Interface Module outputs directly to the point
inputs on the D8128D. Use the D125B to connect two-wire smoke detectors.
Mount the D125B and the OctoPOPIT in the same enclosure with the control panel or in a
separate enclosure connected to the control panel's enclosure by a conduit not more than 20
ft (6 m) away.
Notice!
You can connect non-powered, fire initiating devices such as pull-stations, heat detectors,
and UL Listed four-wire smoke detectors directly to the point inputs on the D8128D.
Switch settings
The switches on the D8128D set point assignments and line termination. Switches 1, 2, 3, and
4 assign the OctoPOPIT sensor loops to point numbers on the control panel. Switch 5 sets
line termination. For more information, refer to D8128D address settings, page 169.
