Operation/setting
Delete the current clip list.
Selects the source of the clips to be used as material.
disc(clip): Clips (video and audio data) on a disc inserted into the recorder
external: External device
disc(voice): Audio (audio data, distinct from clips) on a disc inserted into the
recorder
SxS: Clips (video and audio data) on an SxS memory card inserted into the
recorder
You can display this item without displaying the menu (shortcut operation). To
do so, press the PLAYER button with the SHIFT button held down in the EDIT
LIST or RECORDER screen.
Note
The settings "disc(voice)" and "SxS" appear when the PDBZ-UPG03 Software
Upgrade Key or PDBK-MK1 option board is installed.
Selects the target of player editing.
Clip: Clip (video and audio data)
Voice: Audio (audio data, independent of any clip)
Clip + Voice: Clip and Voice
You can display this item without displaying the menu (shortcut operation). To
do so, press the RECORDER button with the SHIFT button held down in an
editing screen.
Notes
• This appears when the PDBZ-UPG03 Software Upgrade Key or PDBK-MK1
option board is installed.
• This item is always reset to "Clip" when this unit is powered on. "Voice" and
"Clip + Voice" settings are not saved.
• When EDIT MODE is set to "delete" (Delete mode), the EDIT PRESET setting
is disabled, and "CLIP" and "VOICE" indicators are not displayed on the
editing screen.
Selects the audio input channel.

Selects the output channel for a voice track.

• This appears when the PDBZ-UPG03 Software Upgrade Key or PDBK-MK1
option board is installed.
• The current setting of this item at the start of editing is applied across the
entire edit list. It is not possible to change this setting for different voice data
segments.
Selects the edit mode. When EDIT PRESET is set to "Voice", this is fixed as
"overlay".
insert: Insert mode
overlay: Overlay mode
delete: Delete mode
Selects the handling of audio playback at edit points. (The options are the same
as those of setup menu item 320.)
cut: Carry out a cut edit (possibly resulting in audio discontinuities at the edit
point).
fade: Fade out and fade in.
Sets the start timecode.
Sets the preroll time. (The options are the same as those of setup menu item
001.)
0 Sec to 5 Sec to 30 Sec: Set the preroll time within the range from 0 and 30
seconds in steps of 1 second. (A preroll time of at least 5 seconds is
recommended.)
