7. Press the expansion slot latch down to release (1).
8. Flip the latch up to open the slot (2).
9. Pull upward on the expansion board release handle (3) to eject the expansion
board from the slot connector and lift the expansion board out of the server (4).

Installing or Replacing a PCI-X Hot Plug Expansion Board

To install or replace an expansion board into a PCI-X Hot Plug slot:
1. Extend the server from the rack. Refer to "Extending the Server from the Rack"
in Chapter 5, "Installing Hardware Options."
2. Open the rear access panel. Refer to "Opening and Removing the Access Panels"
in Chapter 5, "Installing Hardware Options."
3. If you are replacing a hot-plug expansion board, refer to "Removing a PCI-X
Hot Plug Expansion Board" in this chapter.
4. Identify the PCI-X Hot Plug expansion slot that you want to populate and the
PCI-X Hot Plug button that manages it.
