About the RMP
The RMP or Remote & Maintenance Programming application is a Windows-based application
used to program a database with specific, programmable Emerald ICE features, loaded onto the
system and executed in conjunction with the system software.
The application features easy-to-use submenus featuring check boxes, drop down lists, radio but-
tons and convenient text fields used to program the various Emerald ICE screens resident on the
application. These screens are described briefly within the following subsections with specific pro-
gramming instructions provided in the following chapters of this manual.
All programming screen are accessed from the RMP Main Menu as shown below.

To make the RMP clear and easy to operate, the RMP provides a Windows-based, Graphic User
Interface (GUI) which can be run using Windows 98/NT/XP.
RMP's Main Window contains five areas:
• Title bar
• Menu bar
• Client Window
• Status Bars
A brief description of the functionality of each component is provided below, whereas the detailed
specification of the functions of the RMP will be described in the chapters herein.
