■ FULL-TIME
FOUR-WHEEL DRIVE
NOTICE
Driving on pavement in the
four-wheel high lock or four-
wheel low lock positions for a
long time could shorten the life
of your vehicle's powertrain and
tires.
Full-time four-wheel drive trans-
mits engine power to all four
wheels for extra traction.
The transfer case buttons are locat-
ed to the right of the instrument
panel cluster.

Use these buttons to shift into and
out of the different Full-Time Four-
Wheel Drive modes.
1. Four-Wheel High
This setting is for driving in
most street and highway situa-
tions.
You can also use this setting for
light or variable off-road driv-
ing conditions.

2. N (Neutral)
Shift to this setting only when
your vehicle needs to be
towed.
See your dealer or a profes-
sional towing service if you
need to have your vehicle
towed.
Also, see "Recreational Vehicle
Towing" in Section 3.
CAUTION
With the transfer case in
neutral, the vehicle can roll
even if an automatic transmis-
sion is in P (Park) or a manual
transmission is in gear. You or
others could be injured. Be sure
to set the parking brake before
shifting the transfer case to
neutral.
