AUTOMATIC VOLUME
CONTROL
This feature automatically adjusts
the volume to compensate for
road and wind noise.
To activate this feature:
1. Adjust the volume to the
desired level by rotating the
upper knob.
2. Press AUTO VOL repeatedly
to scroll through four volume
compensation levels.
You may choose between
LOW, MEDIUM, HIGH and
AVOL OFF (automatic volume
control off).
Each higher setting allows for
more volume compensation at
faster vehicle speeds.
To turn this feature off, press
AUTO VOL until AVOL OFF
appears on the display.
ADJUSTING THE SPEAKERS
To adjust the speaker balance or
fade, do the following:
1. Press the knob repeatedly
to choose the BAL, FAD or
FADE speaker control.
Choosing BAL allows you to
adjust the sound between the
right and left speakers. Choos-
ing FAD or FADE allows you to
adjust the sound between the
front and rear speakers.
2. After choosing the desired
speaker control, rotate the
knob to the right or left to
adjust the speakers.

To quickly set the speaker controls
to their middle positions, press
and hold the knob while a speaker
control is displayed.
You will hear one beep.
To quickly set all speaker and tone
controls to their middle positions,
press and hold the knob until CEN
or ALL CENTERED appears on the
display.
You will hear one beep.
