Starting and Operating Instructions

The vehicle comes with two
double-sided keys which are used
for the ignition and the driver's
door lock cylinder.
The keys have a bar code tag
which is given to the first owner at
delivery. Each tag has a code on it
that tells your dealer how to make
extra keys. If you need extra keys
made, take the tag to the dealer.

NOTICE
Theft prevention features can
make it difficult to get into your
vehicle if you lock your key
inside. You may even have to
damage your vehicle to open a
door. Be sure you have an extra
key.
PASS-Key
®
III Plus System
Your vehicle is equipped with a
Personalized Automotive Security
®
System, PASS-Key
III+. The
ignition key has a transponder
imbedded in it.
The transponder uses a radio
frequency that matches a decoder
in your vehicle. The system is
armed when the key is removed
from the ignition. Take care not to
damage the key, or it may not start
the engine.
To disarm the system, turn the
ignition on.
If a damaged or wrong key has
been used, the system will not
allow the engine to start. If the
engine does not start and the
Security System Light comes on,
there may be a problem with this
system.
