Problems on the Road
Changing the Flat Tire
Before proceeding, perform a safe-
ty check. See the Cautions under
"Changing a Flat Tire", earlier.
1. To remove the center cap,
place the flat end of the wheel
wrench in the slot on the
wheel and gently pry it off.

2. Loosen the wheel nuts with
the wheel wrench. Do not
remove them yet.
Turn the wheel wrench coun-
terclockwise to loosen the
wheel nuts.
If your vehicle has locking
wheel nuts, the key is in the
tool bag.
For wheels with a wheel lock
key, use the wheel lock key
between the lock nut and
wrench.
3. Assemble the wheel wrench,
jack handle extensions and
the jack handle.
Attach the jack handle to the
jack.
