Fork Removal/Disassembly

NOTE: For seal installation see page 12-16.
Remove the
cap
tool
and
seal and pour the ATF out.

the fork tube. a towel around the seal area.

is forced

Remove the fork and spacer.
Pour

the fork fluid by the fork up and down several
times.
Place the fork slider in
a
vise with soft jaws or
a
shop towel.

CAUTION: Do not distort the slider in the vise.
Remove the socket bolt with a hex wrench and pump the
rernainirlg ATF out through the socket bolt hole.
NOTE: install the and fork cap is

Pull the fork tube out until resistance from the slider is
felt Then move it in and out, tapping the until
