9. Install a new thermostat with the bleed hole (Item 4)
positioned closest to the engine.
NOTE: Image shown above is with engine
removed for clarity.
10. Reverse this procedure for installation. Torque
thermostat cover bolts to specification.
Thermostat Cover Bolts:
7 ft-lb (10 Nm)
11. Be sure to properly fill and bleed cooling system as
outlined in this chapter.
