You can set the nterval from 3 to 30 mnutes (n one-mnute ncrements).
You can also enter values usng numerc keys.
The default settng s 5 mnutes.

Press [Stop] to return to standby mode.
– [Energy Saver] lghts green when the machne enters the Sleep mode.
– To resume normal mode from the Sleep mode, press [Energy Saver] on the operaton panel.
– To enter the Sleep mode manually, press [Energy Saver] on the operaton panel.
– The machne wll not enter the Sleep mode when:
• the machne s n operaton
• the Processng/Data ndcator lghts or flashes
• a message appears on the dsplay and the Error ndcator flashes
• paper s loaded n the mult-purpose tray
• a paper jam occurs n the machne
• the optonal handset of the external telephone s off the hook
– The machne wll leave the Sleep mode when:
• you press [Energy Saver] on the operaton panel
• a fax s receved
the optonal handset of the external telephone s off the hook

• a prnt job s sent from a computer, and the prnt s started
– If you turn off the man power of the machne whle t s n the Sleep mode, wat at least 10 seconds
before turnng the man power of the machne back on.
