Description
– The paper sze s not
approprate for prntng a
report or lst.
– The paper ran out whle
prntng a receved
document, report or lst.
A document jam may have
occurred n the ADF.
The machne may have trouble. Press [Start] to restore all

17" (432 mm) when you
are sendng e-mal, I-fax or
sendng a document to a fle

swtch, or when the machne s
not ready for prntng.

Action
– Set the paper sze to
<LTR>, <LGL>, <A4>,
<OFICIO>, <BRAZIL-
OFICIO>, <MEXICO-OFICIO>,
<FOLIO>, <GOVERNMENT-
LETTER>, <GOVERNMENT-
LEGAL> or <FLSP>, and then
load paper of the same sze.
– Load paper n the paper
cassette.
Remove the jammed
document.
settngs to the default. If the
message perssts, contact
Canon Customer Care Center.
– Reduce the length of the
document to wthn 24 7/8"
(630 mm), then try agan.
– If the document s shorter
than 17" (432 mm), then try
the procedure agan.
Clean the ADF scannng area
(See "Cleanng the Machne" on
p.10-2.), then press [OK].
Remove the jammed
document.

Check the left cover and make
sure that t s completely
closed.
