If possble, place the machne near an exstng telephone lne outlet for easy connecton
of the telephone lne cord, and to avod the expense of nstallng a new outlet.
Place the machne near a standard 120 V AC (60 Hz) power outlet.
To ensure relable operaton of the machne and to protect t from overheatng (whch
can cause t to operate abnormally and create a fre rsk), do not block the exhaust vent.
Never block or cover any openngs on the machne by placng t on a bed, sofa, rug, or
other smlar surface. Do not place the machne n a cupboard or bult-n nstallaton, or
near a radator or other heat source unless proper ventlaton s provded. Leave at least
4" (10 cm) around all sdes of the machne.
Do not stack boxes or furnture around the power outlet. Keep the area free so you can
reach the outlet quckly. If you notce anythng unusual (smoke, strange odors, noses)
around the machne, unplug the power cord mmedately. Contact Canon Customer Care
Center.
Do not allow anythng to rest on the power cord, and do not place the machne where
the cord wll be walked on. Make sure the cord s not knotted or knked.
