4. Troubleshooting
Low Temperature Error
The center thermistor detects 100°C or less for 4 seconds.
• Defective fusing lamp
• Defective thermistor
1. Replace the fusing unit.

• Execute "Fuser SC Reset" with SOM (printer models) or "Engine Maintenance Menu" (MF
model) to recover the machine after completing the recovery procedure. Otherwise, the

machine continues to issue this SC code and cannot be operated.
Zero Cross Frequency Error
The detection error occurs ten times consecutively in ten zero cross signal detections. This error
is defined when the detected zero cross signal is 17 or less/27 or more for 0.2 seconds.
• Defective fusing lamp relay
• Unstable input power source

1. Check the power supply source.
2. Replace the fusing unit.
• Execute "Fuser SC Reset" with SOM (printer models) or "Engine Maintenance Menu" (MF
model) to recover the machine after completing the recovery procedure. Otherwise, the
machine continues to issue this SC code and cannot be operated.
Consecutive Fusing Jam
The paper jam counter for the fusing unit reaches 3. The paper jam counter is cleared if the paper
is fed correctly.
This SC is activated only when this function is enabled with "Fuser SC Detect" in the SP Mode 2
tab (printer model) or "Engine Maintenance" (MF model) (default "OFF").
