If you downloaded the files from the internet or FT server, uncheck the Search removable media
box, select the Include this location... box and enter the location where you stored the downloaded
files (e.g. C:\My Documents). Press Next> (refer to

The software is fully tested, but has not yet been submitted to Microsoft for approval. Press
Continue Anyway.

Press Finish to close the dialog box.

Using the USB cable provided, connect the USB interface of the NEC call logging unit to an
available USB port on your PC.

Unplug the line cord from your telephone and connect the phone to either port on the call logging
unit.

Connect the NEC telephone system to the remaining port on the NEC 1-Port Digital Logging Unit.
7.1.1.5 Call Logging Application Software
A user guide that steps the user through the various options and operation is provided and should be
utilized for setup and operation of this product.

7.2 NEC IP Call Logger (V4.0 or higher)

NEC offers the 1-Port IP Call Logging Unit to both record and listen to calls made from SIP phones.

7.2.1 NEC 1-Port IP Call Logging Unit

The NEC 1-Port IP Call Logging Unit is a USB device that can record SIP audio in one of two ways.
SIP audio can be recorded by installing the Call Logging Unit in line with the SIP phone thus recording
only those calls to or from the selected SIP phone. The Call Logging Unit can be installed in line with
the VoIPDB to record either an extension or a SIP trunk. When recording SIP trunks, a maximum of
eight trunk members can be monitored and recorded simultaneously providing licenses are present in

2-123).
