7.2.1.1 PC Compatibility
The NEC 1 Port IP Call Logging Unit application supports Microsoft operating systems which support
USB devices such as Windows XP and Windows 7.
7.2.1.2 Hardware and Software Requirements
• Minimum Hardware Requirements
- Processor: Pentium IV-class 1.6GHz or equivalent or higher.
- Memory: 256MB
- Disk Space: 100MB
- Soundcard and Sound output like PC speakers or headphones.
• Minimum Software Requirements
- Operating Systems
Windows XP
Windows 7 (32- and 64-bit)
• Screen Resolution
- NEC's product line makes up a visual application environment featuring dynamic graphical
elements which may function at lower resolutions. However, for best performance and to view
these items correctly, it's recommended that you set the screen resolution to a minimum of
1024x768. You can do this from the Control Panel > Display Settings > Advanced Settings tab
for Windows XP users.
- If using Windows 7, go to Control Panel > Display (you may need to select view by icons), then
click change display settings and adjust the resolution.
7.2.1.3 Connectors
• One PC USB connector that provides power and streams all speech and call control information to
the host PC and desktop software.
• Two Ethernet connections that monitor SIP signaling for call set up messages from the selected
VoIP phone or SIP trunk then records RTP streams to a predetermined folder on the local PC.
