When you play content on a device connected to the receiver via an HDMI connection, the
receiver is also automatically turned on and switched to the appropriate HDMI input.
Note
Depending on the TV, the start of the content may not appear.
If you set [Standby Through] to [Auto] or [On], and then play back the content on a
connected device when the receiver is in standby mode, sound and image can only be
output from the TV while the receiver remains in standby mode.

Enjoying TV sound from the speakers connected to the
receiver (System Audio Control)
You can use the System Audio Control function as follows:
The TV sound is output from the speakers connected to the receiver when the receiver is
turned on. If you turn off the receiver, the sound is output from the TV speaker.
When you adjust the TV volume, the System Audio Control function adjusts the volume of
the receiver simultaneously.
Note
When [Control for HDMI] is set to [On], the [Audio Out] settings in the HDMI Settings
menu will be set automatically based on the TV speaker settings.

You can also operate this function by changing the TV speaker settings. For details, refer
to the operating instructions of the TV.
