This instruction describes the replacement of the original log set to a decoration
kit of pebbles or glass.
WARNING: The decoration kit must be installed by a qualifi ed service technician.
1. Turn off the gas supply with the main gas valve to the appliance
2. Remove the glass front → For instructions see chapter "DISMANTLING /
ASSEMBLING OF THE GLASS".
3. Remove the ceramic log set.
4. Remove the embers carefully.
Prevent damaging the ceramic mat on the burner, which is very fragile!
5. Check the condition of the ceramic mat. Replace the mat when damaged.
6. Check if the holes in the ceramic mat are exactly in line with the burner openings.
7. Spread the 'stone pebbles' or 'crushed glass' evenly over the whole burner bed
(burner and grate around the burner). Make sure that the pilot light remains free.
IMPORTANT:
• Do not place any pebbles/glass in front of the pilot light.
Make sure that the pilot light can burn freely over the main burner.
• Keep the burner orifi ces unblocked.
• Keep also the back row of slots in the grate open.
Only this way a proper ignition of the main burner and proper combustion is ensured.
8. Once the 'stone pebbles' or 'crushed glass' have been positioned, replace the glass
front in the appliance, → For instructions see the installation manual of the gas
appliance, chapter "DISMANTLING / ASSEMBLING OF THE GLASS".
9. After installation, check the ignition of the pilot light and main burner. visually check
the gas fl ame. When the fi re is ignited, the fl ames should be short and blue/yellow in
colour. These fl ames should gradually increase in height and become more yellow.
When all fl ames are yellow, the gas fi re has reached the correct temperature.
10. The gas fi re is now ready for use.
