To reduce the risk of electric shock, fire, explosion, serious injury or death:
• Disconnect electric power to the washer before servicing.
• Never start the washer with any guards/panels removed.
• Whenever ground wires are removed during servicing, these ground wires must be
reconnected to ensure that the washer is properly grounded.

48. OUTER TUB DOES NOT EMPTY

POSSIBLE CAUSE
Kinked drain hose.
Drain hose out of clamp in back of cabinet.
Inoperative water pump.
Obstruction in outer tub outlet hose.

49. EXCESSIVE VIBRATION

POSSIBLE CAUSE
Unbalanced load in tub.
Broken, or disconnected centering spring(s).
Washer is not properly leveled.
Washer is installed on weak, "spongy", carpeted
or built-up floor.
Incorrect or loose cabinet screws.
Base damaged (washer was dropped).
Balance ring not positioned properly on
transmission assembly.
Lubricant on pivot dome and/or snubber pad
and isolator assembly.

50. WATER LEAKING FROM OUTER TUB

POSSIBLE CAUSE
Leaking water seal in outer tub.
Hole in outer tub.
Pressure hose or pressure bulb leaking.
Outer tub cover gasket leaking.
Obstruction in drain causing water to come over
top of outer drain tub cover.
Tub-to-pump hose leaking at clamp.
TO CORRECT
Straighten hose.
Remove washer front panel and install drain hose
into clamp.
Replace pump.
Remove obstruction.
TO CORRECT
Stop washer, redistribute load, then restart washer.
Connect or replace centering spring(s).
Adjust leveling legs.
Relocate washer, or support floor to eliminate weak or
"spongy" condition.
Replace with correct screws or tighten.
Replace base assembly.
Refer to paragraph 27.
Remove lubricant.
TO CORRECT
Replace hub and seal kit assembly, paragraph 22.
Replace outer tub.
Replace pressure hose and/or pressure bulb.
Replace gasket.
Remove obstruction.
Tighten clamp.
