4-4 MACHINE TUNING
PILOT SCREW (P.S.)
The pilot screw controls volume of the air/fuel mixture in slow
range. Pilot screw specifications indicate the number of turns out
from the lightly seated position.

THROTTLE STOP SCREW
The throttle stop screw determines the full closed position of the
throttle valve.
• Turn it clockwise to raise the throttle valve.
• Turn it counterclockwise to lower the throttle valve.
! Throttle valve opening position
After touching the throttle stop screw to the
Standard throttle pulley, turn in the screw 3 – 4 turns
to raise the throttle valve.
Too high an engine idle may cause driveability failure
such as lack of engine braking and poor deceleration
during brake application.
