Oil Seal Inspection - Suzuki RM-Z450 Owner's Service Manual

OIL SEAL INSPECTION

• Remove the retainer 1 and plug 2.
• Inspect the oil seal lip for wear and damage.
OIL SEAL REMOVAL
• Remove the retainer 1 and plug 2.
• Remove the oil seal 3.
OIL SEAL INSTALLATION
• Apply SUZUKI SUPER GREASE "A" to the oil seal clip.
' 99000-25010: SUZUKI SUPER GREASE "A"
• Fit a new oil seal with special tools.

INTAKE PIPE REMOVAL
• Remove the intake pipe 1.
INTAKE PIPE INSTALLATION
• Install the intake pipe.
NOTE:
* The intake pipe with the marked (CARB SIDE) A side facing
toward the carburetor side.
* Fit the recess B of the intake pipe into the projection C of the
cylinder head.
CYLINDER HEAD, CYLINDER AND PISTON
