(3) Detaching and refitting the drum unit
Follow the procedure below to replace the drum unit.
Caution
Avoid direct sunlight and strong light when detaching and refitting the drum unit.
Never touch the drum surface.
Procedure
1. Remove the image formation holder (see
page 1-5-24).
2. Remove the developing units (see page 1-5-
25).
3. Remove the fuser unit (see page 1-5-30).
4. Pull out the transfer belt unit (see page 1-5-
27).
5. Remove each connector and then remove
four drum units.
6. Replace each drum unit and install the unit.
7. Perform maintenance mode U119 (drum
setup) (see page 1-3-44).
8. Perform maintenance mode U111 to clear
drum drive time (see page 1-3-44).
(4) Detaching and refitting the charger roller unit
Follow the procedure below to replace the charger roller unit.
Procedure
1. Remove each toner container (see page 1-
5-24)
2. Remove each screw and then remove the
four charger roller units.
3. Replace each charger roller unit and install
the unit.
4. Perform maintenance mode U930 to clear
the counter value (see page 1-3-101).
