Fuel Pump Relay; Fuel Reseve Sensor - Honda V30 Magna VF500C Manual

FUEL PUMP RELAY
Remove the seat and fuel tank.
Turn the ignition switch and engine stop switch ON
and check for continuity between the white termi·
nal of the fuel pump relay coupler and ground.
There should be no continuity.
Start the engine for few minutes. Then, check
that there is continuous battery voltage between
the white wire terminal of the fuel pump relay
coupler and the body grond.
If the relay fails either check, replace it.
FUEL RESEVE SENSOR
Drain the fuel from the fuel tank.
Turn the ignition switch ON, the fuel reserve
warning light should come on.
If the warning light does not come on, remove
the seat, disconnect the Gr/BI wire and ground it
to the frame.
The warning light should come on.
If not, check the fuse, bulb and wire connection.
Replace or repair as necessary.
If the warning light still does not come on, replace
the sensor.
Fill the fuel tank with 3.5 lit (0.9 US gal) of fuel,
and recheck the warning light.
It should come on.
The warning light should go out after a few seconds
with the ignition turned ON.
If the warning light does not go out, replace the
fuel reserve sensor.
