FUEL SYSTEM
I nspect the operation of the float valve.
Install the float valve, float and float pin.
FLOAT LEVEL
Measure the float level with the carburetor inclined

from vertical and the float tang just con-
tacting the float valve.
FLOAT LEVEL: 6.2 mm (0.24 in)
Adjust the float level by carefully bending the float
tang.
I nstall the float chamber and secure it with the
screws.
PILOT SCREW
REMOVAL
NOTE:
The pilot screws are factory pre-set and
should not be removed unless the carbure·
tors are overhauled.
The pilot screw plugs are factory installed
to prevent pilot screw misadjustment. Do
not remove the plugs unless the pilot
screws are being removed.
Cover all openings with tape to keep metal
particles out when the plugs are drilled.
