Inspection and cleaning
Check the oil jets for clogging.
If they are clogged, clean their oil passage with a proper wire
and compressed air.

Installation
Fit the new O-rings to each oil jets.

Use the new O-rings to prevent oil leakage.
NOTE:
* Apply grease to the O-rings when installing the oil jets.
* Apply engine oil to the oil jet holes on the crankcase.
Install the piston cooling oil jets

to the left and right crank-
case halves.
Apply a small quantity of THREAD LOCK to the bolts and
tighten them to the specified torque.

99000-32050: THREAD LOCK "1 342"

Piston cooling oil jet bolt: 10 N.m (1.0 kgf-m, 7.0 Ib-ft)
Push the oil jet into the left crankcase half until it stops.
Tighten the oil gallery plug

to the specified torque.

Oil gallery plug (M8): 18 N-m (1.8 kgf-m, 13.0 Ib-ft)
GEARSHIFT ARM STOPPER
When installing the gearshift arm stopper bolt

apply a
small quantity of THREAD LOCK to its thread and tighten it to
the specified torque.
