Console Interface Configuration

Overview

The SFE1000P features a menu-driven console interface for basic configuration of the Switch and
management of your network. The Switch can be configured using CLI through the console interface
or through a telnet connection. This chapter describes console interface configuration. Configuration
can also be performed through the web utility.

Configuring the HyperTerminal Application

Before you use the console interface, you will need to configure the HyperTerminal application on
your PC.
1. Click the Start button. Select Programs and choose Accessories. Select Communications. Select
HyperTerminal from the options listed in this menu.
