Saving or Upgrading a Configuration

Destination File Type — Defines the intended usage of the copied
configuration file on the destination device. The possible value is:

Startup Config
when the Running Configuration was saved. The Startup Configuration is
used when the system restarts or starts after shutdown.

Running Config
device when this file was saved. This includes any configuration
changes made between the device reboot and the creation of this file.

Backup Config
protection against system shutdown, or for maintenance of a specific
operating state.
If via HTTP is selected, select among Upgrade, Backup, or Copy.
Upgrade — Specifies that the source is a configuration file on the HTTP
server and the destination is defined in the File Type field. This is an
upgrade procedure.
Backup — Specifies that the source is the Running Configuration on the
device and the destination is a configuration file on the HTTP server. This is
a backup procedure.
If Upgrade is selected, the following fields are available:
File Type — Defines the configuration file type. The possible value is:

Running Config
on the device. This includes any configuration changes made since the
device was started or rebooted. When the device shuts down or
reboots the next time, this configuration becomes the startup
configuration.

Startup Config
when the Running Configuration was saved. The Startup Configuration is
used when the system restarts or starts after shutdown.
