Restoring BIOS settings

Restoring BIOS settings is done using the Desk Flash Instant or the ASP for
Windows tool. For further information, please refer to the "D3143 BIOS Setup
Utility for PRIMERGY BX924 S3" reference manual.
5.2.3

Restoring iRMC settings

Ê Enter the management blade web interface.
Ê Open Components – Server Blad – Server Blade-x menu.
Ê Click the Remote Management button in the status frame of the server blade
menu.
Ê Open the window "The Server View Remote Management iRMC S3 Web
Server".
Ê Open the iRMC S3 - Save Configuration.
Ê Select the backup file stored in the file system of FST in section "Import
iRMC S3 Firmware settings in ServerView
Ê Click the Apply button.
Ê Enter the management blade web interface.
Ê Open the Information / Operation - Operation - Backup/Restoration Managment -
iRMC menu.
Ê Open the Restore tab.
Ê In the Restoration Source box select the backup medium.
– Select Memory if the backup file is stored in the management blade
memory or on a memory stick connected to the management blade.
– Select Server Blade if the iRMC settings of a specified server blade are to
be used as restoration source.
– Select Local File if the the backup file is stored in the file system of the
FST.

In the Restoration iRMC Parameters box you can modify the iRMC
parameters "on the fly" before restoration is started.
Ê In the Restore Action box select the server blades whose iRMC settings are
to be stored.
