To power on the services gateway:
Ensure that you have connected the power supply to the services gateway.

Insert the plug into an AC power source receptacle (for SRX240 Services Gateway

with AC power supply, and PoE).
Or
Attach the power cable to the DC power source (for SRX240 Services Gateway with
DC power supply model). Ensure that the DC power source is connected according
to the guidelines recommended in
Power Supply Model to a DC Power Source" on page
The services gateway starts up as the power supply completes its startup sequence.
3.
The Power LED glows during startup and remains on steadily when the services
gateway is operating normally.
NOTE:
After the power supply is turned on, it can take up to 60 seconds for
status indicators—such as the Status and Power LEDs on the front panel of
chassis to show that the power supply is functioning normally.
NOTE:
We recommend that you issue the CLI command
when you want to power off the device immediately after the device
power-off
is powered on.
You can power off the services gateway in one of the following ways:
Graceful shutdown—Press and immediately release the Power button. The device
begins gracefully shutting down the operating system and then powers itself off.
WARNING:
Use the graceful shutdown method to power off or reboot the
services gateway.
