Enhancing ViewPoint with Add-ins __________________________

Add-ins are custom executable (.exe) files or Dynamic Link Library (.dll) files that add extra
functionality to Strata CS ViewPoint. Add-ins can enhance ViewPoint with custom toolbar or
menu options, or process data behind the scenes, for example, monitoring incoming calls for
Caller ID that matches certain criteria.
Strata CS comes with one sample Add-in, called Reverse Phone Number Lookup. See
the Reverse Phone Number Lookup sample Add-in" on page
Add-ins using the Strata CS SDK's Add-in API, as described in the Strata CS SDK and API
Programming Guide, located in the \Manuals directory of the Strata CS Master CD.

Managing Add-ins

To add, remove, or change options for an Add-in, do the following:

Using the Reverse Phone Number Lookup sample Add-in

Strata CS provides a sample Add-in called Reverse Phone Number Lookup, that enables you to
right-click a phone number and display a web page with the results of a Google™ search of the
phone number. If successful, Google displays information about the phone number including
name, address and a link to a map showing the location.
