Adjusting the exposure manually
You can manually adjust and set the exposure. Adjust the exposure manually in the
following cases:
• Tile sutoject is backlit
• To shoot the bright sul0ject and clark background
• To record dark pictures (e.g. night scenes) thithflllly
(1) In the CAMERA/memory camera mode, press FN to display PAGE1 (p. 16).
(2) Press EXPOSURE. The screen to adjust the exposure appears.
(3) Press MANUAL, then adjust tile exposure using /+.
: to dim
+ : to brighten
(4) Press _ OK to return to PAGE1.

Press EXIT.
To return to the automatic exposure mode
Press aP OFF to return to PAGE1.
Note
When you adjust the exposure manually, the backlight ftmction does not work.
If you change the PROGRAM AE mode or slide NIGHTSHOT to ON
Your camcorder automatically returns to tbe automatic exposure mode.
