Using the PROGRAM AE function
(1) In the standby/memory camera mode, press FN to display PAGE1 (p. 16).
(2) Press MENU, then select a desired PROGRAM AE mode in _ in tile menu
settings (p. 89).

To return to FN
Press EXIT.
To turn the PROGRAM AE function off
Select AUTO in PROGRAM AE in tile menu settings.
Notes
• In tile spotlight, sports lesson and beach & ski modes, you cannot take close ups. This
is because your camcorder is set to focus only on subjects in the middle to far distance.
• In the sunset & moon and landscape modes, your camcorder is set to fbcus only on
distant subjects.
• Tile following f\mctions do not work in tile PROGRAM AE mode:
Slow shutter
Old movie
Bounce
• Tile following f\mctions do not work in tile low lux mode:
Digital eflect
Memo1T overlap
Overlap
Wipe
Dot
• While setting the NIGHTSHOT to ON, tile PROGRAM AE flmction does not work.
(The indicator flashes.)
• While shooting in the memory camera mode, tile low lux and sports lesson modes do
not work. (The indicator flashes.)
While WHT BAL is set to AUTO in the menu settings
The white balance is adjusted even if the PROGRAM AE function is selected.
Even if the PROGRAM AE function is selected
Yon can adjust tile exposure.
If you are recording under a discharge tube such as a fluorescent lamp, sodium
lamp or mercury lamp
Flickering or changes in color may occm in tile following modes. If this happens, tmn
the PROGRAM AE thnction off.
