Troubleshooting
Symptom
The title is not recorded.
The cassette label is not recorded.
While editing nsing the i.LINK cable
(DV connecting cable), recording
picture cannot be monitored.
Digital program editing does not
function.
The Remote Commander supplied
with your calncorder does not work.
Cause and/or Corrective Actions
• Tile tape has no cassette memory.
-_ I Ise a tape with cassette memory (p. 81, 125).
• Tile cassette memory is full.
÷ Erase another title (p. 84).
• Tile tape is set to prevent accidental erasure.
÷ Slide the write protect tab so that red portion is not
visible (p. 15).
• Nothing is recorded in that position on tile tape.
") Superimpose tile title to tile recorded position (p. 81).
• Tile tape has no cassette memory.
÷ Use a tape with cassette memory (p. 87, 125).
• Tile cassette memory is full.
÷ Erase some titles (p. 84).
• Tile tape is set to prevent accidental erasure.
÷ Slide the write protect tab so that red portion is not
visible (p. 15).
• Remove the i.LINK cable (DV connecting cable), and
connect it again (p. 59).
• Tile input selector on tile VCR is not set correctly.
") Set tile selector correctly, and check tile connection
hetween tile VCR and your camcorder (p. 58, 59).
• Tile camcorder is connected to DV equipment of other
than Sony using the i.LINK cahle (DV connecting cable).
") Keep tile connection, and follow tile procedure on page
61 to 64.
• Setting program on a blank portion of the tape is
attempted.
") Set tile program again on a recorded portion (p. 68).
• Tile syncronicity of your camcorder and tile VCR is not
adjusted.
÷ Adjust tile syncronicity of the VCR (p. 66).
• COMMANDER is set to OFF in the menu settings.
-) Set it to ON (p. 89).
• Something is blocking tile infl'ared rays.
") Remove tile obstacle.
• Tile batteries are inserted in the battery holder with tile +
polarities incorrectly matching tile + marks.
÷ Insert tile batteries with the correct polarity (p. 151).
• Tile batteries are dead.
÷ Insert new ones (p. 151).
