Other control panel features

To use a few of the more advanced functions of this printer,
you must hold down the appropriate button while turning on
the printer as described below.
Letter-quality self test = LF/FF
Performs a letter-quality self test, which helps you determine
the source of some printing problems. See "Printing a Self Test"
on page 8-5 for details.
Draft self test = Load/Eject
Performs a draft self test, which helps you determine the
source of some printing problems. See "Printing a Self Test" on
page 8-5 for details.
Bidirectional adjustment = Pause
Turns on the bidirectional adjustment mode, which allows you
to correct printing alignment problems. See "Using
Bidirectional Adjustment" on 8-25 for details.
Hex dump = Load/Eject + LF/FF
Prints the data sent to the printer in hexadecimal code, which
helps experienced users determine the source of some printing
problems. See "Using Hex Dump Mode" on 8-6 for details.
Setting Printing = SelecType
Hold down the SelecType button while you turn on the printer
to print the current default settings or current label settings,
depending on the Paper Select mode. When the Paper Select is
set to #0, the printer prints the current SelecType (default)
settings. When the Paper Select is set to #a, the printer prints
the label size and position settings that are currently registered
in the EPSON Label Form Utility.
