• This command is used to activate interfaces that were configured to be active, but were shutdown by
the system for some reason (for example port security.
Example
The following example reactivates interface 1/e5.
Console# set interface active ethernet 1/e5

show interfaces advertise

The show interfaces advertise Privileged EXEC mode command displays autonegotiation data.
Syntax
• show interfaces advertise [ethernet interface | port-channel port-channel-number ]
• interface — Valid Ethernet port. (Full syntax: unit/port)
• port-channel-number — Valid port-channel number.
