EcoLAN 1000E and the Macintosh Computer
The network printer information presented in this chapter applies to the Macintosh
Operating System. The DP-2800 Macintosh solution is supported by an installer on
the CD packaged with the DP-2800 printer.
Important: For Macintosh compatibility, the PostScript option, KPDL-II must be

6.1 Using the DP-2800 Macintosh Installer
The DP-2800 Macintosh installer can be found on the Mita CD which accompanies
the printer. Because the DP-2800 Driver and the DP-2800 Utility create their own
preference files on the Macintosh, the DP-2800 installer must be used on each
Macintosh system on the network.
To use the installer, open the drivers folder on the CD and select the DP-2800 installer.
The DP-2800 installer places the DP-2800 Driver, the DP-2800 Utility, the TrueType
Screen Fonts, PPDs, and the readme file onto your Macintosh. After installing the DP-
2800 files, the DP-2800 installer closes and restarts the Macintosh system.
