Follow the screen prompts until the NECTECH Main Menu is displayed. The
prompts require the following key strokes:

To hang up and log off, follow these steps at the NEC Technologies Bulletin Board:

RECOVERY MODE

If the BIOS upgrade is interrupted a catastrophic failure may occur leaving the BIOS in as
unusable state. Recovering from this condition requires procedure.
1.
Change the Flash boot block jumper (JP17) to the recovery mode (see Section 2,
Setup and Operation).
Install the bootable upgrade diskette into diskette drive A:.
2.
Reboot the system unit.
3.
The system unit will beep when powering up and will access diskette drive A:.
When the diskette drive busy light goes off the recovery is complete.
Power the system unit off.

Change the Flash boot block jumper (JP17) to the Normal operation position.

Leave the bootable upgrade diskette into diskette drive A: and boot up the system
unit.
Continue with the original upgrade by following the menus.
