Action
Toggle off the circuit breakers or fuses of the upstream source of power for
the feeds that supply power to the Multiservice Switch.
The front panel LED of each power supply remains lit for approximately two
minutes after the power supply loses power. Capacitors are discharging
while the LED is lit.
If the primary power to the shelf assembly is on, never set the individual
power supply toggles to the standby position. This can cause an overload to
the on-line power supply.
After a couple of minutes, verify the LEDs for the power supplies, cooling
unit, and each processor card faceplate are off.
Power off the power supplies.
