Auto Address

An alternative function to Auto Address is the LOOP LEARN menu option (see section 8.6.1 for details).
During an auto address the panel automatically assigns an address to each loop device in sequentially
wired order.
CAUTION: USING THIS OPTION WILL COMPLETELY ERASE THE PANEL'S DATABASE OF
STORED LOOP DEVICE INFORMATION. THEREFORE, USE WITH EXTREME CARE.
Only select this option if the panel has not previously been programmed, or if you want to program an existing
system as if it were a new, clean system and you are confident to proceed.
Enter AL3 (4444) > Commissioning Functions press the

Find New Devices Option
The Find New Devices option may be used if a new device has been added to a loop and you do not want to
erase the stored loop device data.
Select the loop, select the Find New Devices tick box option and press the
The panel will start to learn the loop from the last known address in its memory. Existing data will not be
overwritten, e.g. device names, zone and group allocation, etc., will remain unchanged. The panel will only find
new devices which it will automatically allocate to the next available 'unpopulated' loop address.
Depending on the installation size the learn process can take several minutes. Wait for the process to
complete. Once learned, wait for at least 5 minutes to allow the system to sync with the devices.
When the auto address process is complete, enter AL3 (4444) > Commissioning Functions >
Device Manager to check the updated loop configuration.
