Engineering Functions

The Engineering Functions menu is used to access the panel's comprehensive test functions and display
important system status information.
Enter AL3 (4444) press the

to view additional engineering menu options (shown below centre and right).
Engineering functions are listed in sections 8.5.1 to 8.5.18.

Device Manager

Using this function you can display, edit and test all the addressable devices stored in the panel's memory
which include loop devices, system devices and A-Bus devices.
Enter AL3 (4444) > Engineering Functions press the

To view all the devices on the loop, use the

Loop Devices window:
- displays loop addresses (up to 255 devices per loop)
- displays loop device icons, examples shown below:
- CAST Multisensor (Blue icon)
- CAST Optical detector (Grey icon)
- CAST Heat detector (Red icon)
- CAST Manual call point
- CAST Sounder VAD
- CAST I/O Unit
- denotes unpopulated 'no device fitted' loop address
