CAST ZFP Analogue Addressable Fire Alarm Panel
When an individual loop device icon is pressed the Device Manager window appears (shown below) allowing
the user to perform additional functions which are listed below.
8.5.1.1
Device Outputs
This function allows you to turn ON/OFF individual device's outputs.
Enter AL3 (4444) > Engineering Functions > Device Manager (select a loop device) and press
button. A typical display (shown below) appears allowing you to turn ON/OFF the selected device's outputs.
8.5.1.2
Monitor Point
This function allows you to view the current analogue status of a specific addressable point on a loop. During this
test, the panel temporarily disables the point being monitored from reporting, fires, pre-alarms and faults.
Therefore, use this function with care.
Enter AL3 (4444) > Engineering Functions > Device Manager (select a loop device) and press
button to start the test and a device description display (shown below) appears showing the analogue values.
Press the device description display (shown above) and the next display allows you to turn ON/OFF the selected
device's outputs (see section 8.5.1.1 - `Device Outputs').

Note this display and the functions available will differ for
different devices (detectors, sounders, I/O units, MCPs).
In the example shown left, options to turn ON/OFF the
detector's 'Fire LED' or 'Polling LED' are available .
Note if you exit this function the panel will retain the settings.
To reset the outputs to their normal settings re-enter Device
Manager, select the loop device and select Device Outputs.
Outputs are automatically reset by the panel.
In this example the CAST optical detector is device 1 on loop
1 and returned a normal analogue value (AV) of '0'.
Note 1: The analogue values returned will differ dependent
on whether the device is a detector, sounder, I/O unit or MCP.
Note 2: The information displayed will assist C-TEC
Technical Dept.
(available @ www.c-tec.com) to identify
the cause of any problems.
