CHAPTER 2 RADAR
Using the [ECHO ADJUST] menu for interference rejection
Touch control:
1.
Press the MENU/ESC key to open [MENU].
2.
Tap the [ECHO ADJUST] menu.
3.
Tap the [Noise Rejector] menu.
The [Off]/[On] selection box appears.
4.
Tap [On].
5.
Tap [x] on the title bar to close [MENU].
Key control:
1.
Press the MENU/ESC key to open [MENU].
2.
Select the [ECHO ADJUST] menu with the arrow keys, then press the ENTER key.
3.
Select [Noise Rejector] with the arrow keys, then press the ENTER key.
The [Off]/[On] selection box appears.
4.
Select [On] with the arrow keys, then press the ENTER key.
5.
Press the MENU/ESC key to close [MENU].

2.11 How to Measure the Range to a Target

The range to a target can be measured in three ways: with the fixed range rings, with
the cursor, or with the Variable Range Marker (VRM). Refer to Section 2.12.1 for the
method using the cursor. Use the fixed range rings (concentric circles centered on own
ship) to get an estimate of the range to a target. The interval between the fixed range
rings appears at the upper-left position on the screen (refer to Section 2.1.3), which is
determined by the range scale selected. Count the number of fixed range rings between
own ship and the target, and estimate the distance from the fixed range ring located
nearest from the target.

How to adjust the brilliance of fixed range rings

The brilliance of fixed range rings can be adjusted in three ways.
Using the [BRILLIANCE/COLOR] menu
Touch control:
1.
Press the MENU/ESC key to open [MENU].
2.
Tap [BRILL/COLOR].
