Notes
The bottom discrimination function is intended to provide an estimate of bottom
composition. Actual composition may be different from the discrimination result.
The transducers that support the bottom discrimination function are as follows:
When the bottom discrimination function is active, the high and low frequencies are
alternately transmitted even in the single frequency display mode. Also, the
transmission interval of this equipment becomes slower than conventional fish finders.
Use this function at the water depth of 5 to 100 m.
Use this function at the ship speed of 10 knots or less.
This bottom discrimination function uses the range from the boat's draft; therefore,
be sure to enter the ship's draft.
If transducers are not mounted straightly, the bottom material may not be analyzed
accurately.
