Install transmitter
Observe the following cautions when installing the transmitter in a hot process
stack. If you shut down and cool the transmitter, you can install it in the stack
prior to connecting the pneumatics and wiring.
CAUTION
Equipment damage
Exposing a cold transmitter to hot process gases can cause permanent damage to
the equipment.
Before installing the transmitter into a hot stack or ductwork, make sure it is
turned on and at a normal operating temperature.

Failure to connect the pneumatic lines can allow the flow of contaminants into the
transmitter ports.
Whenever a positive stack pressure exists at the installation site, be sure to
connect all pneumatic lines prior to installing the transmitter in the stack or
ductwork.
Procedure
1. Connect the test gas lines and instrument air lines to the electronics
